In 2012, Bilfinger was certified as one of the first companies in Norway to carry out rope access work according to Norwegian Standard NS9600 for Rope Access. The NS9600 is a development of the SOFT industry standards which has been in use since the 1990s when Rope Access Techniques (RAT) was introduced as an access solution on the NCS.
Bilfinger Industrier is one of the major players within rope access techniques in Norway and has established the same HSEQ standard for RAT services as for other maintenance services in the company. The "Zero-is-Possible" strategy is a key focus for all operations in Norway.
Bilfinger currently have more than 100 rope access technicians and operators certified according to the requirements of the NS9600 standard, and we are proud to be able to present excellent HSE records after many years of working at heights and delivering RAT services to our Clients.
Rope access provides flexible and efficient access to areas with limited opportunities to maintain or inspect in other ways. Securing tools, parts and equipment whilst working out of ropes is a basic and fully integrated part of our work processes and methods.
As one of the leading RAT providers within the oil and gas industry, we have established a training and competency management system to secure that our people have the right qualifications to meet the requirements of Bilfinger, our Clients and the authorities at all times. We provide both ISP services as well as mechanical, electrical and instrumentation services out of ropes to be able to increase productivity in execution of our activity programs.
Our goal is to be the preferred rope access partner for our customers and bundle services to be able to support our clients within the maintenance, modifications and operational phase.
